Choosing Dog Food Recipes Means
You Need Dog Nutritional Knowledge
When you feed the right dog food recipes, and do it the right way, your dog will benefit from a better quality of life and improved health. But there are also risks involved in getting it wrong. A few notes about dog food recipes and proper dog nutrition:
-
Your dog's diet needs to meet his
nutritional requirements. This means water content, vitamins,
proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals - and all in the right
portions.
- Of course, your dog needs a certain amount of calorie intake based on his breed and size.
- There are certain foods that must never be fed to a dog! Certain human foods are poisonous to dogs. Download, print and read a comprehensive list of foods you should never feed a dog.
- Your veterinarian should be consulted whenever you change your dog's diet to include new home-cooked dog food recipes.
- Your dog's behavior, activity level, and appearance will tell you a lot about how his food is working out for him.
Very important: Some
vegetables are poisonous to your dog!
Make sure you only use
veggies you are sure dogs can eat!
