Privacy Policy - PupDogTraining.com

Privacy matters. I want you to use this website for all your dog training and dog ownership needs, but on the internet, that means I have to earn your trust not only with competent information, but also by telling you exactly how, when, and if I use your identifying information. This page explains everything pertaining to your privacy when you use the Pup Dog Training website.

In short, I've assembled this website with an eye towards secure information storage, and I won't sell your information to third parties. In detail:

Collection and Use of Personal Information

PupDogTraining.com collects some information that can be used to personally identify you, but only if you volunteer that information. Some examples of that data include your name, email address, postal address, and telephone number.

The information is collected so that you can request information from us, participate in drawings and other programs, receive email updates, and take advantage of other PupDogTraining.com activities. When this data is reviewed, it is reviewed internally, not shared with third parties. All data is either stored in a database which is private to my website, or discarded completely

If any changes are made to the collection or storage of personally identifying data, those changes will be posted here, on the Privacy Policy page. I may, but more likely will not, notify users by email of such changes - you'll need to review this page in order to stay up-to-date. At no time, however, will personal data be shared with, or sold to, third parties.

Cookies and Advertising Tracking

A cookie is a small text file that your browser uses to store data. The level of security and privacy involved in cookie data, is a matter of your web browser's quality. My website uses cookies to keep track of return visitors. Among other uses, any visitor who becomes a member of PupDogTraining.com will have a cookie placed, or updated, on their hard drive to identify their logged-in session with my site. Any account customizations you make regarding your PupDogTraining.com account may also result in cookie data being stored on your computer, and shared with my website.

You may configure your web browser to deny cookies, or to ask for case-by-case verification. If cookies are rejected, some interactive features of this site will be disabled, but you will still be able to read the site.

Some of the advertising partners which advertise on this website may use tracking methods, to monitor your activities for marketing purposes. These tracking methods are used to learn about web users' reading and surfing habits; think of them as a form of anonymous survey that you don't have to think about. These tracking methods are anonymous, and no personally identifying information is exchanged between PupDogTraining.com and its advertising partners during that, or any other, process.

Should you choose to install an ad-blocking software, this will usually prevent those tracking methods. Blocking the ad tracking methods will not hinder your ability to use PupDogTraining.com.

Each advertising partner may, or may not, offer a method of opting-out from its tracking system, at their respective websites.

Statement about the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

This website is intended for adults, and we will not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 years.

Anonymous Tracking Information

I may install trend-analysis software for my own research on this website. This software will not be correlated to any personally-identifying information you voluntarily supply. Your activities are anonymously tracked so that I can know things such as how long people stay at the site, where they were referred from, where in the world they live, et cetera. This information is not shared with anyone.

Transfer of Information

In the event that I someday sell this website, the database storing your voluntarily-supplied personal account information will be part of the sale transfer. If that should happen, I will do my best to ensure that the website's buyer respects your opt-out decisions, and places an appropriate notice on the website when they take possession over its assets.

Controlling Your Information

If you have provided any personally-identifying information through PupDogTraining.com and you would like it to be corrected or deleted, please send me an email detailing what changes you would like made. Make sure to provide me the existing information, so that I can locate the right record to update, as well as the action you'd like taken, and I will take the requested actions immediately.

Updates to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. If there are significant changes, a conspicuous notice will be posted on the website, with a link to the new privacy policy. You are responsible for taking notice of such changes by occasionally reviewing the privacy policy.

Privacy Terms Agreement/Non-Agreement

By continued use of this website, your signal your agreement to these terms. If you do not agree to these privacy terms, you are not permitted to use this website.
